About the Blog
Across the Pond is the personal blog of David Duran, that’s me. The site is an outlet to write about topics I’m interested in, share technical tricks I’ve picked up, and keep family and friends up to date on what’s happening in the UK.
I’ve become increasingly passionate about simplicity, keeping things organized, and getting things done, and I enjoy writing about these opinions and experiences. Hopefully, it helps me learn more along the way.
About the Author
Formally my expertise is in Chemistry, but increasingly I’m more passionate about business, information, technology, design, and Getting Real. I’m a husband, amateur photographer (portfolio), athlete, and technical guru, and have lived abroad with my lovely wife Jennifer for nearly two years.
A good friend and I founded Sounds for Sights in 2004 to give visitors to New York a better way to see the sights. Additionally, over the last 6 years I’ve worked in R&D in the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Products sectors.
Where
You will find me on Flickr (often), Facebook (sometimes), and Wikipedia (every now and again).
